              Tak drahý je Ježiš môj,
Majster a Kráľ,
že celý deň spievať chcem
piesne Mu chvál.
A k Nemu smiem v slabosti
o silu lkať,
veď zo srdca tak rád Ho mám.

Veď zo srdca tak rád Ho mám,
veď zo srdca tak rád Ho mám.
  Je dobré Ho znať,
  v nebi Priateľa mať,
veď zo srdca tak rád Ho mám.

On mnohokrát prichádzal
jak Priateľ môj
a čakal, či Jemu dám
mdlý život svoj.
Ó, beda, že viedol som
márny ten boj,
veď zo srdca tak rád Ho mám.

Dnes istotu blaženstva
s Ježišom mám,
že pre mňa tiež pripravil
večný svoj stan.
A preto Ho velebím
a vyznávam,
veď zo srdca tak rád Ho mám.
